Ok... here is a step-by-step how to do a Lightning Mcqueen
Photo nš1 is a block of chocolate mudcake.
Photo nš2 it is a tip, use a photo of the car in original size to carve your cake.
Photo nš3 cake it is shaped..."It is the most important part ... if you get the shape right now everything else will look perfect.
Photo nš4 cover you cake with chocolate ganache or butter cream or anything that makes the fondant stick.
Photo nš5 Cover the cake with red fondant
Photo nš6 Black details and wheels
Photo nš7 All the other details and stickers
You can find the stickers on google search.

Hi...What width do you make the cake please... If for instance you are doing A4 length are you also doing A4 width ?? Regards

Any size ... it all depending on the size you print the side of the car.

i have to make a lighting mcqueen cake by July 23rd but im having trouble finding any stickers or pictures of the decals on the car...i tried a google search but nothing close enough for the detail... have any suggestions?

Thank you for posting this; I've always wondered how you make your amazing cakes. It looks both easier than I thought and, like ~mystiic143 said, easier than it probably is.

I think the hardest part is work with the icing... Sugar paste dries very quick so you have to work fast.

Oh, so it's like the opposite of working with paint, which can never dry fast *enough*. I guess the grass really is greener on the other side ^^;
